Circa 2010 – From the vault…

I remember the day like it was yesterday. Our 2nd year in business, our identities exposed by friends. I had recently informed my family of our venture.

My cell phone rang. It was my Dad. He spoke slowly. His office mailroom delivered a package to him that was sent to him. He opened it, saw the cover page “Daddy’s Little Girl”, closed it, and called me. He was so calm and concerned. I felt my heart shatter. I ordered him to put everything in plastic bags and DO NOT TOUCH IT!

The next day, my Mom called. A package was hand delivered to her school. And then my Dad called again to inform me that my brother also received a letter.

We had been working with some web pros and a P.I. to help us stop our competitors from hacking us, again. We had stacks of evidence. Proxy servers were cracked. Traced back to 3 specific spas + 2 of their backers…..

And then my home was vandalized…I moved over night.

I spent the next few days at a cop station delivering them all of the evidence, files, documents, threats, and these packages. I gathered fingerprints from everyone who touched them from mailroom to mailbox to me. The cops ended up with 3 huge boxes of evidence.

The fear hindered me from pressing charges. Eventually I got some of the packages back. Fingerprints were matched. Packages tested. Conclusions without any doubt. Another year of this shit continued until they finally ran out of methods. Our competitors have no clue how extensive our investigation was. They have no clue the people affected by their criminal behavior came to us. I keep these in my basement, and they symbolize our tenacity, our abilities, our smarts, and our mission!

Have no fear, we fucking championed after this! If you ever ask how we are so fearless, determined, unwavering…. This is just one story from one phase of our business journey.

Now, 2months away from our 10yr anniversary, we can sit back and laugh about how each and every spa in the country started to adapt MUSE strategies and ideas. They work harder. We work smarter. Ⓜ️💯
